Where: Lindsay Street Hall, 901 Lindsay Street
What:Just Do It. Where's the Beef?
I Love NY. Got Milk? These phrases are iconic, but where do they come from?
The powerful, Emmy-nominated documentary ART & COPY will introduce you to the inspiring cultural visionaries who
revolutionized advertising during the industry's golden age in the
1960's by creating slogans to live by and ads we all remember. You may
not have heard of them, but these pop pioneers have changed the way we
eat, work, shop, and communicate - often in ways we don't even realize.
From the introduction of the Volkswagen to America to the triumph of
Apple Computers, ART & COPY explores the most successful and
influential advertising campaigns of the 20th century, introduces the
innovative minds that launched them, and potently demonstrates that
creativity can solve anything.
After the film, local advertising professionals will discuss how
the industry works to grab the attention of millions and truly move
them.
Don’t miss this dynamic exploration of art, commerce, and human emotion.
